No Need To Worry About Big Brother

Everyone seems worried about Big Brother. You know, surveillance by the state and strict police rule, having your every move recorded by CCTV, etc. It seems that this is needless worry.

Perhaps you have heard about Big Brother the reality TV show. It is a house full of cameras and other recording instruments. Even the bathrooms and bedrooms are wired. Nothing is hidden.

Why is it then that a female occupant of the house can be sexually assaulted by two males and the police come up with "insufficient evidence for criminal conviction"? How much more surveillance data do they require to convict somebody of a crime? If a member of the Big Brother household doesn't have enough mud to stick how on earth do they prosecute anyone in the outside world?

Maybe there is more to this than meets the eye.
